Environmental educator and author Jennifer Chambers rides on the bow of the Obtuse as it heads out to Chesapeake Bay. Chambers is part of an expedition to collect water and sediment samples. The samples will be sent to Florida Atlantic University for analysis. The data will be used to quantify the health of the Chesapeake Bay water way. The expedition was organized by Trash Free Maryland and brings together plastic pollution experts, educators, environmentalists, policy advocates and journalists.
