Crowds massed in the US capital and around the world to support science and to show opposition to President Donald J. Trump's threats of budget cuts to agencies funding scientists' work. At the March for Science, demonstrators gathered on The National Mall to support science and to send a message to policymakers who are ignoring fact and research in areas such as climate change.
