PA Jen Vaupel spends as much time as necessary with each of the dozen of patients she sees daily
As with all of her patients on this day, Vaupel asks detailed questions— even checking if folks are able to pay rent—and tries to connect the different aspects of their lives, identify where there might be a need.
“I want them to feel like somebody is listening and somebody cares,” says the Minnesota native. “There’s no judgment. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t rush people.”
