About John Nelson

I am a documentary photographer based in Los Angeles, California.

I spent the early part of my career working as a newspaper photojournalist. I spent eleven years at the San Diego Union-Tribune where I covered a wide variety of assignments including major sporting events, border issues, medical stories, politics, arts and entertainment.
